Welcome to my little place on the Net. Like so many people, I plunked down my $70 registration fee in hopes of finding fame and adoration by shamelessly showcasing my "talents" on the web. If you're reading this, I have succeeded to some extent.

To a great extent this project has arisen from the thrill of seeing my name in print and the low-level celebrity status I've enjoyed as a reporter and columnist. So far it doesn't extend much beyond the borders of the middlin' small city I live in, but I am recognized most everywhere around here. Who knows, with a little luck you may run into me in a bar somewhere and have the pleasure of buying me a beer. Then, after I hit the big time, you can say you knew when I was nobody. Better hurry - I'm thirsty.

Nose around, there's something here for everyone: some fiction, some photos and a lot of commentary. Some of the fiction is just snippets - little things I played with, but there are a couple of full-length stories. The photos are a mix of "just photos" and some efforts at photojournalism. The commentary spans several years and at least three different newspapers. Twice in my life I've become a "sudden parent," and that responsibility is often reflected in my commentary. If nothing else, the kids like seeing themselves mentioned in the newspaper.

Much as I hate to mention it, everything contained within this domain is copyrighted by the author (that would be me) and as such protected by the Title 17 of the United States Code, also called the Copyright Act of 1976. Feel free to tell your friends about me, but instead of sending them my stuff, send them here. If you just gotta use something somewhere else, ask me first. I'm usually pretty easy to get along with (contrary to what my nephew might tell you.)
